On
November 7th at 8:30pm 2003, while on my way home
from choir practice, a man driving a heavy-duty
truck hit me on the driver side. I suffered neck
and back injuries. My truck went through extensive
repair. I went to two other chiropractors before
meeting the right one. On March 3rd I decided to
give Dr. Gallagher a try. He took x-rays and gave
me various objects to take home. This was in order
to enhance recovery apart from his therapy. When
things were getting real bad: Dr. Gallagher prayed
with me, which was a real surprise. As a result,
I can do many things I could not do in a long while.
Dr.
Gallagher is a kind, respectful, and loving man.
Not to mention, how smart he is, even when I tried
to hide the pain during examination he would say
“right there it hurts”? I asked "how
do you know?" He simply says your body tells
me. I want to say thanks to Dr. Gallagher and his
team. You are the best.

Hello, my name is Laura and
I have a patient of Dr. Gallagher’s for two
years now. My daughter, who is nine years old, was
very sick with a fever of 104 F. I never thought
to bring her in when she was sick. I usually call
her pediatrician if she does not get better. This
particular time she had a sore throat with white
spots with the fever. I immediately thought “Strep
Throat” I took her to her doctor. He also
thought she had strep and took a swab and did a
test. It came back negative. Dr. Gallagher said
“Bring her in”. Her atlas was out. Once
in, within 12-24 hours, she was her normal self.
Dr. Gallagher taught me that if your atlas is out,
your immune system can not properly “fight”
off infections. Now when either of my children have
a high fever, I call and get them in. It always
makes a difference. By the way, I should also add
that I am a pediatric nurse. I am a true believer
in Chiropractic care now, along with medicine when
necessary.

I came to Dr. Gallagher suspicious
and unbelieving. I have been to numerous (14) chiropractors.
All had great promises that I would just come as
for to avoid surgery.
One
told me that because of gravity I would have to
come in monthly for the rest of my life.
I
can honestly say that because of Dr. G’s system,
detail, skill and training I no longer have neck,
elbow or knee pain. I highly recommend him to anyone
who has had chronic pain and is discouraged that
this really does help.

For
years I couldn’t hear out of my right ear
as well as I could hear out of my left. I had also
suffered from regular headaches, after Dr. Gallagher
adjusted my atlas, I’ve regained all hearing
in my right ear and I haven’t experienced
another headache.

I
have had chronic back pain all my life and had just
resigned myself to that being “a way of life
I had to live with “. Then in 2002 I suffered
a broken ankle in a home accident and was in a wheelchair
for nine months. My back problems increased after
that since I was favoring my bad ankle, thus adding
pressure to the other side of my body.
After
starting my treatment plan with Dr. Gallagher, and
receiving the adjustments, I have experienced an
immediate relief. I feel better than I have in years
and just wanted to say Thanks” for a new lease
on life.

Dr.
Gallagher is great!! Dr. Sweat sure taught him well.
I wish we had AO’s east of I-95 in eastern
NC. I came in with lots of spasms and left feeling
great.

When I met Dr. Gallagher I
was looking for vitamins to help my swelling knee.
After a short demonstration, I realized that there
was more causing my injury than what I had first
assumed. Upon further investigation my x-rays (showed)
that a car accident, in which I had been injured
four years ago, had severely misaligned my neck,
to the point of it bending in the opposite direction.
Because of this previous injury, I had been compensating
throughout my entire body.
In relation
to my knee, Dr. Gallagher discovered my left leg
was approximately half an inch shorter that my right,
which directly related to my initial search for
help. I am still receiving treatment, however after
only a few weeks I feel such an improvement in how
I feel and see a difference in my performance as
a dancer.
I feel
blessed to have been guided to Dr. Gallagher's treatment
and care; And convicted in my belief that chiropractic
will assist me in continuing to do the dancing I
love.

Since going to Dr. Gallagher
I have more freedom to do the things I love...walking,
swimming, and keeping up with my preschool class
of three and four years old. Before going to see
him I had lower back pain but thought nothing of
it. Being a kidney patient I had developed a high
pain thresh. I learned how bad my spine really was,
by going to see Dr. Gallagher on a regular old basis,
I have been able to correct my spine and be more
active. When I told my regular Doctor of my improvement
he was very surprised Dr. Gallagher has given me
abilities that I thought I would never get back.
He is wonderful; he treats your mind, body, and
spirit. I tell everyone I see who has pain to go
see Dr. Gallagher before making any major decision
about surgery.

I had a hunched over back
at age 41. Actually carried that posture since childhood.
(hyperkyphosis) I went to orthopedic surgeon; there
was nothing he could do since I was an adult already.
After speaking to Dr. Gallagher he said we would
try a care plan. It would help my back not to get
any worse but may not help my posture that I was
presently caring. Near the end of my care plan,
people started noticing an improved posture! The
real eye opener was trip to my Grandfathers. He
has always been very concerned about my back. He
noticed that my posture had improved and was amazed!
My back pains are gone now!
Dr. Gallagher
also noticed that there were other things that were
out of alignment such as my hip and neck from years
of bad posture, even my knees. I realize now how
Chiropractic care is as important as Medical care.

When I first me Dr. Gallagher,
I was in a state of ill health. I had frequent debilitating
migraines, overwhelming exhaustion, insomnia, extreme
hypothyroidism which doctors were unable to get
the right dosage to fix, and frequent respiratory
infections. After all that, I hardly wanted to list
more symptoms (MD's would be rolling their eyes
by this point), but I also had life-changing PMS,
severe allergies, couldn't lose weight, and some
relatively minor back and neck pain.
The effect
of all this on my life was, not surprisingly, very
negative. My circle of friends got smaller and smaller
since I didn't have the energy to see them. I couldn't
play with my darling daughter sometimes because
I was too sick. My husband was very frustrated since
just keeping up the house and watching my daughter
were impossible some days. He was having to miss
work frequently to help me, and even contemplated
an LOA. My self-confidence suffered as well because
I was physically miserable, yet MD's (even specialists)
said there was nothing wrong aside from mild hypothyroidism
which was controlled by medication (according to
whom? them). One day, when my daughter and I were
playing, she took one of her dolls and said, "This
is the mommy dolls. She has to stay in bed a lot
because she's sick." These words pierced my heart,
since we had decided to make sacrifices so I could
stay home and raise our daughter, but now I was
missing significant portions of her childhood because
I was too sick to see it. I prayed to find a doctor
who could help me.
The next day,
while at a friend's house, I met Dr. Gallagher.
When my friend mentioned I suffered from severe
migraines, Dr. Gallagher looked concerned. This
look of concern meant a lot to me; I had been to
a lot of doctors, but none were ever really that
concerned, even when I was struggling to breathe
from pneumonia on top of asthma. Dr. Gallagher did
a brief but impressive screening, and I decided
to make an appointment to see him (here's where
the story starts to get happier).
Frankly, I
had been to other chiropractors before, so I was
dubious. Nevertheless, I was willing to give Dr.
Gallagher's care plan a try - after all, nothing
else had worked. After looking at my x-rays, Dr.
Gallagher mentioned that the specific area of my
neck with the problem was one which would cause
a myriad of symptoms, not just migraines. "Well,
I know that," I thought - but I hadn't even mentioned
my other symptoms to him at that point. He went
on to say that he hoped eventually to be able to
eliminate my thyroid medication, and I just thought
"Whatever. Just fix my migraines." Actually, I hated
the idea of decreasing the medication because I
thought I wasn't getting enough of it.
The first
month of treatment resulted in about a 98% reduction
in migraines. This alone was life-changing. Also
gone were the sciatica, back and neck pain, and
I wasn't tired all the time. My PMS was still present,
but only for 2-3 days instead of the usual 2 1/2
weeks of hell.
After almost
two months of treatment, I asked my new primary
care physician (now a DO - I don't want to return
to an MD) if I could decrease my thyroid dosage
(yes, me). Shortly thereafter, we decreased it again.
Maybe I will eliminate it one day! Also, I no longer
needed the medications upon which I had depended
to make it through the day: Excedrin Migraine, Tylenol
PM, Imitrex, Benedryl, Pseudophedrine, and my anti-depressant
(supposed to help the PMS - hah). My migraines have
decreased to a mild one a month, but Dr. Gallagher
isn't satisfied. We are collaborating on a care
plan to eliminate that last migraine.
The effect on my life is incredible. My house is
clean, my husband is happy, I'm making new and improved
friends, my hair is thick and healthy again, I'm
losing weight, and my daughter and I are able to
enjoy a whole ton of activities together again.
The other day, while at the park with her, I thought,
"I'm pretty much a normal person now." Tears of
happiness welled up. My parents tell me that there
is vitality in my voice again, and that even walk
and talk differently - with strength now. So after
less than three months of treatment, I would like
to say THANK YOU, DR. GALLAGHER! I never knew that
nagging back and neck pain had anything to do with
my overall health, but thank God, Dr. Gallagher
did.
